شاه کیقباد وقتی برادرش کیکاوس را دید، بسیار شادمان شد. او وقتی به کیکاوس نگاه کرد، گویی خودش را در آینه‌ای دیده باشد. کیقباد بی‌درنگ از تخت بلندش پایین آمد و او را در آغوش گرفت. او برادرش را مدت طولانی در آغوش نگه داشت و سیراب از این لحظه نشد، همان‌طور که انسان از عمر خود سیر نمی‌شود.
